The transport system in
Krakow is cheap, clean, safe and very reliable. One just has to
remember to validate your ticket (in the machine located near to the
entrance of the tram or bus). If you have a one hour, one day or
three day ticket you only have to validate it once. |

|
| Transport
tickets can be purchased at most street kiosks, We found that the 72hour
pass to be the most convenient. Just validate it on its first use,
then put into your wallet and the only time you need to show it is when a
transport inspector asks to see it. The tickets are valid on all tram and
bus routes within Krakow. |

Before leaving home we down
loaded the tram and bus route maps from http://www.krakow-info.com/maps-transport.htm
and then enlarged the central sections and printed them out. All
the time we was in Krakow we only used a Taxi twice. From the train station
to the studio accommodation And from the studio back to the station. |
