Before I went I was advised of a nice quiet bar on the Square - Europejska , I tried it, but unfortunately during December there were hoardings in front of the building, therefore one could not look out onto Market Square. But the place looked very good - and the service was excellent.

I did manage to find a small Cafe/bar that suited my needs admirably, Cafe Kawiarnia Bankowa. It warm , very good service and nicely decorated with crocheted table cloths. Unfortunately I spent far too long over my Vodkas in this excellent establishment.
