I have finally got around to writing a trip report about our spring holiday in Budapest-Vienna-Prague. We visited Prague in January this year (please see the trip report) and decided then, that we would return to the city again soon: perhaps combining it with another Eastern European City. Almost before the suitcases were unpacked, I was into the Internet looking at all the possibilities and airfares etc. I booked the flight first – flying out to Budapest early Wednesday 29th March returning 10 days later from Prague. Some of the trip reports I read told me that it was possible to travel from Budapest to Prague via Vienna. So in for a penny in for a pound I decided to visit three capital cities in 10 days. The initial plan was to spend 3 nights in Budapest, 4 nights in Vienna and the last 2 nights in Prague. |

Chain Bridge - Budapest |

| Purchased two guide books for Budapest
-"Lonely Planet" and "DK.s Eyewitness travel
Guide", "DK.s Eyewitness travel Guide" was the
better of the two For Vienna we just had one guide book
"DK.s Eyewitness travel Guide". For Prague we relied on
our knowledge of our previous trip. We also spent some time downloading
maps from the Internet which we found invaluable.
This was our first real experience of being independent travelers.

The trip report is written in three parts Budapest, Vienna and Prague.
All the pictures were taken using a Canon A40 and a Canon A85: very much looking forward to using my new Canon SLR digital 350D, on my next trip abroad.
